Really nice game to spend your time!

despite what everyones says, I had trouble aiming properly with BF3 on PS3. believe me it is irritating when you are trying to aim on a bulky control and get shot at. And came the RAGE! RAGE is Amazing Graphics! Amazing Control! Smooth 3D Animations especially with Charaters and the enviroment is Stunning! And I am doing all this on my 11inch Macbook air.

Have been fun of ID soft from last sentury. Its about 20 years. Just wondering from were Im actually downloading the game? 12.5GB with avarage 15 kB/sec … I even do not want to calculate ETA. The point is : providing support now is as important as the content. Preparing infrastructure for normal download speed - is part of the support. When the "first look" starts from unknown waiting time - pity . Checked the speed 10 minutes ago : its about 50 Mbps within Europe and about 20Mbps to US (random host) Will reconsider the rate as soon as download finishes. Thanks.

very nice game, but keeps damaging saved files - only autosaves work. thats really annoying

Its interesting only when you start game. Its short, silly and has "great" texture. I think that Borderlands is really better.

Why does it not run with 10.6.x? The long intros (can not skip them) are annoying!

The depth and vision of this is extraordinary, not to mention the technical achievements. The scope of this work must have been enormous. Excellent combination of great artistic vision and technology.

1.0.1 Update: The latest update has addressed the major problem of the game crashing while deleting/loading saves for me. It was an annoying problem that I did not realize until after my review. Im glad Aspyr has addressed this error even though it took them the better part of 2 months to fix. I just hope next time Aspyr can push out updates earlier because I finished the game a month ago. Especially since the save bug was quite an annoyance and was an integral part of the game. Back in October of last year, I was looking forward to RAGE since it was supposed to be cross platform. I was very disappointed when it was Windows and console only, and I quickly gave up any chance of itll be arriving to the Mac. Now just a few months later, here it is! It was a instant buy for me having the game 4 months overdue. You couldnt believe some of my friends seeing that I was playing RAGE natively on Mac OSX. Especially since everyone believes Mac cant play games, here is a slap in their face. My specs are: Early 2011 Macbook Pro 13", 2.3 GHz Dual Core i5, Intel 3000 HD Graphics 512 VRAM, 8 GB DDR3 RAM. At such a high calibre game as RAGE, I thought my Macbook would run the game on low-medium settings at best. Instead I was really surprised that it could run high settings while averaging 30-40 FPS. The blurry texture loading that was reported on Windows only occurs sometimes for me. Overall, this is not a cheap Cider port! Aspyr has done a great job porting the game over to the Mac. At $40, it lacks multiplayer support, but it makes up for it with all the DLC included. Not sure if it makes up for the extra $10 price point as the Steam version is $30. I hacked off one star for the lack of multiplayer support and the steep price. Dont let that fool you from a great game like this. If youve been waiting for this game, now is your chance!

Rage is a great,awesome fps game out there. it has great graphics. If you are a gamer looking for the best, get rage.

I bought that game because some reviewers wrote that they are running it perfectly on a 2011 macbook air with native resolution. On my new Macbook Air 2012 (i5, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD) its defintely NOT running well! In the native resolution with ALL the settings switched to MINIMUM or OFF, I get a framerate that is barely playable (around 20, but can drop to 10 and lower). Then there is a major issue with the loading of textures being delayed (and popping into sight) which is pretty annoying. But the worst issue is that there is a glitch which causes some textures to appear as blue tiles before they are loaded. (they disappear when you dont move, but when moving or turning you constantly have blue tiles jumping at you…) And those graphical glitches together with the low framerate make the game no pleasure to play at all! I have the suspicion that those reviews telling that it runs great on a macbook air were fake! Dont buy!!!

Originally I gave this two stars because I felt bad about giving it a poor rating but it crashes so much I have to call this a complete FAIL. I wish I knew how to get my money back. On 2011 MacBook Pro this is running pretty poor on external monitor and crashes a lot. Too bad because it looks pretty nice if it works. They claim it may be a video card problem but no other game I have is having this problem. My config is: 2.66GHz i7 8GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512MB running Mountain Lion

A solid first person shooter. Runs excellently on the 2012 macbook air w/ i7/8gb ram. Native resolution, most features on. If youre a fan of Bethesdas two Fallout games, chances are youll find this game interesting. Although I just began the game, I can see it being dull at times. Perhaps this initial impression will fade with experience. Until then, I still highly reccomend this game if youre looking for something to pass the time with.

Well, let me start off by saying this is a great FPS game until you get to the racing part. I do not buy racing games because I do not like them and I am not good at them. This game is great, the weapons are great, the graphics are great, and the action is great. Good Job! That is until you get to the driving part. In order for you to get weapons for your ride you need to win some races and needless to say races have nothing to do with shooting your way out of trouble. If you want to get anywhere with this game you will have to have some computer driving skills. And let me tell you steering with your left hand with the A & D keys its pretty tough. Oh and by the way didi I mention that to shoot your weapons from your buggy you will have to have your right hand on the mouse while you are trying to steer your buggy with the left hand. I do not know about you guys but I am a right handed driver and shift with the right hand so it is pretty tough to drive with your left hand. I guess if I was from the UK I would not have a problem. Probably the most anoying is the lack of intuitive method of switching your weapons from the hotkeys. It is absolutely amazing how these guys or girls could have designed such a great game and not hink of this. I have yet to figure out how to switch from rockets to machine guns in my ride. Now they would probably say this guy is an idiot. Well maybe I am but you flipping game designers need to make your software intuitive and easy to use since you do not provide a game manual. So, in conclusion, this is a great game with many flaws. I do not like the racing part of it. If I wanted to buy car race game there are many better than this. The lack of intuitive manipulation of weapons and equipment is horrible.

I played through this game on my mid-2012 MacBook Pro 13" and it runs very well, as long as you turn down the draw distance (otherwise you get funky blue chunks everywhere). Once that was changed it played very smoothly. The gameplay is phenomenal, however I wish it lasted longer. The game is very linear and doesnt offer much room to do what you want. If youre expecting Fallout 3 or New Vegas, dont. So, lets just say it was good while it lasted (maybe 10 hours). Four stars. :)

To me, it is the best game in app store, better action comparing to Deus ex. It is really entertaining and smart. It runs fast, load time is good too. If you want to buy action game from appstore start with this, next can be batman arkham asylum.

I am running this on a rMBP, smooth and gorgeous. The game is a great shooter with plenty of action. highly recommended

I have a new MBP that exceeds the requirements, and it continually crashes. I even lowered all the settings and the game still crashes. I dont know how guys with macbook airs are rating this game so high? Very disappointing.

Im a pretty hardcore gamer and this game is good. I wouldnt take it to great standards but the pace is good and the story is good. I would prefer more stealth integrated actions but I guess it kinda adds another level if the mutants can see you everywhere kinda spooky. Love the mutant animations as they will come out of crevices, sewers, break windows to get to you. The racing is fun in my opinion kinda like a mature mario kart. Great game if you want to spend some time with your laptop and great price on discount! Im running this on a base level 2012 MBP and it runs standard graphics and looks good. Some trouble with some blue and purple popping up at the edges of the map but not unplayable.

The only game I need. Great story. Great gamplay. Realistic. Role based, everything you do has a meaningful and realistic purpose. Running on a 2010 iMac (21.5 inch) with Mountain Lion

when you say turn down the draw to get rid of the blue crap were would i find that. i dont see it . thanks
