Fun gameplay, beautiful visuals.
Though a first-person shooter, it is unique in that there is more to this game than just destroying everyone you see until the game ends. Theres interacting with non-hostile NPCs, picking up different missions from different sources, and entire towns/cities to explore where youre safe and can take a break from the hostile environments just outside. On foot or in a vehicle, with a wide variety of different weapons and differnet kind of missions available to you, the game keeps you interested - not to mention the stunning visuals. Everything from the explosions, to the landscape, to the characters in the game look great.
On a Mid 2011 Mac mini i7 2.7 GHz, 8GB RAM and AMD Radeon HD 6630M, the game runs fluidly on 1024-by-768 pixel resolution and surprisingly does not sacrifice much in terms of the visuals despite the lower resolution. It will run on a higher resolution on my particular setup but I preferred smoother frames over a higher screen resolution. Overall a great, fun game and worth the entrance fee Aspyr is charging.
